What this is
A conditions board for the Flathead Valley: the Flathead River and its forks, Flathead Lake, the Swan, the Stillwater, Lake Mary Ronan. It reads the gauges and the reports so you don't have to.
Locals use it free and keep it honest with three-tap reports after a day out. Visitors use it to pick the week and the day.
Reports are shown at reach level, never spots. Ice is reported by people, never computed. Nothing here says safe.
Where the numbers come from
USGS gauges 12363000, 12370000, 12371550 and the forks; Hungry Horse release and level (USGS 12362500, 12362000); NWS forecasts and Yellow Bay wind; SNOTEL snowpack; AirNow air quality; our own Swan River temperature sensor (going in this fall); verified local reports.
